Chelsea Vs Sheffield United Player Rating

Chelsea Denied Win by Late Sheffield United Equalizer

Last-Minute Goal Stalls Blues' European Hopes

Premier League Draw Leaves Chelsea with Work to Do

Chelsea's bid to qualify for Europe suffered a setback as they were held to a 2-2 draw with bottom-placed Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

Thiago Silva had given the Blues the lead in the first half, but Oli McBurnie's last-minute equalizer denied Graham Potter's side all three points.

Chelsea started the match brightly and could easily have taken the lead within the first 10 minutes, but Raheem Sterling was unable to convert a golden opportunity.

Sheffield United gradually grew into the game and began to create some chances of their own. Billy Sharp thought he had given the Blades the lead, but his goal was ruled out for offside.

However, the Blades equalized in the second half when Oli McBurnie headed home from a Norwood cross. Chelsea responded well to the setback and regained the lead through David Datro Fofana in the 64th minute.

It looked as though Chelsea would hold on for the win, but McBurnie struck again in the 90th minute to salvage a point for the home side.

The draw leaves Chelsea in ninth place in the Premier League table, six points off the top four. They will have to improve their form quickly if they want to secure a place in Europe next season.

Sheffield United remain bottom of the table, but the point gives them hope of avoiding relegation.
